Sutton Bank Supports Environmental Education
07/15/2025

Tiffin, OH – Sutton Bank has donated to the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center (FELC) in support of its mission to provide environmental education and promote sustainable living practices throughout the local community.
The contribution will help expand access to FELC’s programs by funding scholarships for children and families who may not otherwise be able to participate. These scholarships will allow more individuals to experience FELC’s hands-on educational opportunities, including summer camps, school programs, and community workshops that encourage a deeper understanding of the natural world.
“Investing in education and sustainability is an investment in the future of our community,” said Tony Gorrell, CEO of Sutton Bank. “The Franciscan Earth Literacy Center does incredible work in shaping the next generation’s understanding of environmental responsibility, and we’re proud to help make those experiences accessible to everyone.”
The Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, a ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis of Tiffin, serves thousands of students and community members each year through programs that emphasize conservation, ecology, and sustainable living. The organization’s hands-on approach helps participants build lifelong skills and awareness of the importance of caring for the Earth.
Sutton Bank remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that strengthen local communities and promote lifelong learning.
