Sutton Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Klemann as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), marking an important milestone in the Bank’s continued growth and strategic expansion. Klemann brings over two decades of leadership and operational expertise in strategy, profitability, and business development, positioning the Bank for future success as it scales to meet the growing needs of its customers, partners and communities.

Chris’s leadership will be instrumental in expanding the overall value we deliver to our customers, payment partners, communities and stakeholders as we continue to grow and evolve.”    

In his new role, Klemann will oversee bank operations, focusing on efficiency, resource management and cross-functional collaboration, while helping to advance the Bank’s overall strategic vision.  

Prior to joining Sutton Bank, Klemann served in executive roles at Texas Capital, Signet Jewelers, and Nationwide, with extensive experience in banking, payments, and financial services. Within these roles, he has led large-scale transformation efforts, end-to-end operations and controls, compliance, data analysis, and growth initiatives. His experience in strategic planning, streamlining operations and increasing revenue makes him a valuable addition to the Sutton Bank leadership team.

Klemann holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University. He and his wife Brittany have six children.
